Equipping Families, Nurturing Futures
"By wisdom a house is built, and through understanding it is established; through knowledge its rooms are filled with rare and beautiful treasures".
Proverbs 24:3-4
The Family Strengthening & Caregiver Empowerment program is designed to support guardians and caregivers of HIV-affected children. By providing practical skills, income-generating opportunities, and parenting guidance rooted in Christian values, we aim to build resilient families who can provide for their children’s physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. Strengthening the caregiver not only improves the child’s life but also fosters thriving, self-sufficient families.
Training in Small-Scale Gardening and Food Security
Caregivers learn to grow their own fruits, vegetables, and staple crops, providing nutritious food for their families and reducing dependence on external sources. Seeing their gardens flourish gives families confidence and a sustainable path to better nutrition.
Skills-Building Workshops
We offer hands-on workshops in tailoring, crafts, farming, and other trades. These sessions help caregivers earn an income, improve household stability, and gain practical skills they can use to provide for their children.
Parenthood Workshops Rooted in Christian Values
Through interactive sessions, caregivers learn positive parenting techniques, conflict resolution, and ways to nurture children emotionally and spiritually. By integrating Christian principles, families are guided to raise children with faith, integrity, and resilience.
Support for Income-Generating Activities
We help caregivers explore small businesses and community initiatives that generate income. By promoting entrepreneurship, caregivers become empowered to meet their family’s needs independently, reducing financial stress and enhancing family well-being.
